Emery: 'A big match'

Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery is looking forward to the stern test of his team's mettle that Olympique Lyonnais will provide when the pair meet in their Ligue 1 Week 30 encounter on Sunday.

"Thomas Meunier is the only player who is unavailable due to injury. Presnel Kimpembe is suspended. Thiago Motta, Blaise Matuidi and Layvin Kurzawa have started training with the squad again, and so they will be in the group."

"We want to show that we're in a good spell, we have won 15 of our last 18 games. The aim is to build on our confidence and win back the faith of our fans. The match against Lyon is a good opportunity to show that the team is keeping up its standards. At home, we have to give everything. We've sometimes had some difficult games...This game against OL must prove that our Champions League exit was an accident."

"After the defeat in Barcelona, the team showed at Lorient that they wanted to continue their pursuit of first place. We didn't qualify in Barcelona, but we still have three targets: the league, the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue. Sunday's match against an in-form team must confirm our squad is doing well. It's a big game."

"Lyon are a team in form. I saw their Europa League game in Rome on Thursday, it was hard but they were very competitive. It's good for the French league that French teams progress in Europe. Lyon are on a good run. They're a team that will come to Paris with confidence. They have a squad that means they can rotate and still be competitive. It's also an important game for them. It's a great source of motivation to play Lyon and to show we're in form."

"In the absence of Thomas Meunier, Serge is my first-choice option at right-back. I have confidence in him. He has worked very well this week, showing a lot of determination and concentration. I'm sure he'll seize this opportunity and play a good game."
