Blaise Matuidi, Lucas and Edinson Cavani were welcomed by Vincent-Nicolas Delpech, the Director of the Hôpital Necker-Enfants Malades before going from room to room to meet the youngsters and having a bit of a chat.
They were joyful moments for the kids, who won't forget this day any time soon.
The Hôpital Necker-Enfants Malades is a long-standing partner of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation. Earlier in the season, the young patients were lucky enough to receive a visit from the men's and women's football teams. This latest visit was a chance for the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation to reaffirm its commitment to the world's first paediatric hospital.
The story of the visit is a moving one, beginning when Jean-Pierre Aubin, of the Aurel BGC company, won a lot at the Foundation's gala dinner and decided to share it, as the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation's director Christine Le Gal explained: "It's a lovely story. Mr. Aubin won the bidding for an activity with Paris Saint-Germain players. He simply decided to offer that moment to sick children and, as we work in close collaboration with the Hôpital Necker, it made perfect sense that we would all find ourselves here."
One of the Paris Saint-Germain Foundation's principal missions is to support sick children, and the Foundation organises more than 20 unforgettable moments each season. Visits from Paris Saint-Germain's senior-team players in hospitals around the Ile-de-France region are eagerly anticipated by both the kids and the players.
