Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the transfer of Jennifer 'Jenni' Hermoso. The striker for La Roja passed her medical on Saturday.
Jenni Hermoso, 27, is, alongside Vero Boquete and Irene Paredes, one of the stars of the Spain national team. An emblematic figure of FC Barcelona, she has won La Liga three times (2011 with Rayo Vallecano, 2014 and 2015 with the Blaugranas) and the Copa de la Reina in 2017 with the Catalonia club. Born in the Spanish capital, last season she finished 'pichichi' (top scorer) in La Liga with 35 goals. Last January she won the Algarve Tournament with Spain.
"Signing for Paris Saint-Germain is the next step up in my career," declared Jennifer Hermoso after signing her contract with Les Rouge et Bleu. "I needed a new challenge to keep moving forward and this is a huge challenge for me: make a place for myself in one of the best sides in the world."
"Jennifer impressed me when we played her in the Champions League last April," revealed Paris Saint-Germain Women's coach Patrice Lair. "She is a very technical and athletic left footer. She will compliment out current attackers and can also play in a playmaking role just behind. We need proven goal scorers and that's exactly what she is."
